CLICK. CLICK. CLICK. CLICK.
The sound of the Harkonnen's chamber being disassembled and reassembled was loud enough to be heard over the whirring of the helicopter's rotors.
[blue]"SIR! We are approaching the drop point."[/blue]
Seras glanced up, a bit surprised by the looks of fear on the faces of her fellow soldiers. She had forgotten how nervous humans got around such a large cannon. "Sorry, lieutenant. I suppose I'm just a bit nervous." With a grin that was meant to be disarming, the Draculina clicked the last part of the Harkonnen back into place with a flick of her wrist. [orange]"What's our ETA, lieutenant?"[/orange]
[blue]"ETA: Minus three minutes, twelve seconds."[/blue]
Seras grinned [orange]"We're ahead of schedule!"[/orange] Just at that moment, an antiair round exploded near the helicopter, rocking it and sending a soldier that was standing to close to the door flailing towards the freezing water below. Without thinking about it, Seras extended her shadowy left arm, wrapping it around the young soldier and pulling him back into the craft. She chided him with a lighthearted grin. [orange]"Remember soldier. We're at war. Your life means something to your family, so be more careful."[/orange] He just nodded, obviously still trying to cope with his near-death experience. [orange]"PILOT! Perform evasive maneuvers! I'll deal with the anti-air emplacements."[/orange] Hoisting the large cannon single handedly, as if it were a pistol, the vampire fired three shots towards the distant shore. Sure enough three explosions could be seen in the distance.
[blue]"My god....she really hit them."[/blue] Seras just smirked.
[orange]"LIEUTENANT."[/orange]
The lieutenant smartly saluted and stood at attention. [blue]"SIR!"[/blue]
She grinned. [orange]"We've reached the drop point. I'll be taking my leave of you."[/orange] Letting the Harkonnen hang from it's strap she saluted the lieutenant back. The other soldiers, excluding the pilot, saluted her back. [orange]"See you on the front lines, soldiers."[/orange] With a lighthearted smile on her face, the Nosferatu fell backwards out of the helicopter.

James admired the red streak fleeing the helicopter, as well as the explosions in the distance that he could only imagine were more anti-air emplacements. Suddenly a thought occured to him. [green]"Sir! Shouldn't the rest of the strike team go with her?"[/green]
Lieutenant Tibarn only laughed. [blue]"Don't you get it, Sergeant? She is the strike team."[/blue]
James puzzled it over. [green]"So we were her escorts? But why would she need an escort if she can fly like that?"[/green]
Tibarn only laughed again. [blue]"You fool, you think we were escorting her? She was the escort for us.[/blue]
With a smile of understanding on his face, Sargeant James Copperfield Harrison watched out the open hatch until the girl who saved his life vanished from sight.
